Cloud & Platform Engineering

AWS infrastructure, migration planning, CI/CD, observability, cost control, and production operations with clear reliability standards.

AWS foundation

AWS infrastructure that survives real production traffic.

Our default AWS stack combines ECS or EKS for containers, RDS for managed databases, ALB for traffic, S3 and CloudFront for assets, IAM designed on least privilege, and Terraform for reproducible environments. Networks separate application, data, and management planes so a bad deploy in one tier does not spill into the others. Every component is documented so ownership does not depend on tribal knowledge.

We inherit existing AWS accounts as-is and improve them incrementally rather than proposing a full rebuild.

VPC and network design with public, private, and data subnets
ECS / EKS orchestration with autoscaling policies
RDS multi-AZ and backups tested by actual restores
IAM roles scoped to task, not to person
AWS infrastructure that survives real production traffic.
CI/CD and observability

Deploy without ceremony, and see what happened when it went wrong.

CI/CD runs through GitHub Actions or CodePipeline with build, test, and staged deployment steps. Production releases go out behind feature flags or blue/green where the workload supports it. Observability covers CloudWatch metrics, structured logs, distributed traces where useful, and alerting that actually pages someone — not a dashboard everyone scrolls past.

Cost optimization runs alongside reliability work — most audits find at least 15% recoverable spend inside a month.

GitHub Actions pipelines with reusable workflows
Automated rollback on health check failure
Structured logs shipped to CloudWatch, OpenSearch, or Datadog
Actionable alerts routed to on-call, not a shared channel
Deploy without ceremony, and see what happened when it went wrong.
Working style

How platform engagements typically run.

Whether you need a green-field AWS foundation or improvements to what you already have, the shape stays the same.

Assess — inventory current infra, identify risks and cost anomalies
Plan — priorities ranked by risk reduction and cost recovery
Implement — Terraform + IaC, staged rollouts, tested backups
Operate — monitoring, on-call handoff, and monthly reviews
Outcome
Safer and faster deployments
Focus
A practical engagement designed for clarity, speed, and long-term ownership.
Support
Hands-on help after launch so the work keeps moving in the right direction.
Style
Direct communication, visible progress, and low-friction handoff.
